Inspired by art and architecture, Andy’s work explores the relationship between plants and architecture and the wider landscape. His boutique practice has created a space where garden design and landscape architecture intersect and it thrives on a huge variety of projects across many settings, climates and regions. Founded in 1988, the studio’s work includes complex private and public commissions on all scales, many in historic settings.

These range from hospitality and resorts to public realm, museums and high end residential schemes. And of course, private gardens. It is a truly international practice.

The studio also enjoys collaborations with artists and craftsmen and designs bespoke water features, furniture, sculptures and buildings in house. Sustainability and climate resilience underpin all the work. Horticulture and ecology are particular strengths, and Andy is perpetually evolving plant palettes to suit our changing world.
