My name is William Burke, managing director and founder of Burke Bros. In 1974, I began to learn my craft whilst serving as an apprentice in Newbridge, Co. I recount these days with such fond memories as I discovered a real passion in working with timber and learning the principles of the joinery business.

I come from a family of entrepreneurs and started my own joinery in a small workshop on the family farm in 1977. Through hard work, resilience and dedication not to mention a few setbacks, I am very proud to see the business going from strength to strength. I still love coming to work every day and it gives me great satisfaction to have our sons, Michael and Christopher involved in the family business.

They are an integral part of the business going forward and the future looks bright for Burke Bros. Over the past five decades, our company has gone from strength to strength. We are very proud to say that we are now working with the third generation of some of our original customers’.
