Supported by the partners’ academic work and extensive experience in commercial office, residential housing, education and healthcare projects, Butler Cammoranesi aim to deliver high-quality, contemporary architecture at all scales. With over 35 years of combined experience in commercial office, residential housing, education and healthcare projects, Paul and Lorenzo have led a number of large scale design teams in the design and delivery of complex projects in both the public and private sectors.
The practice has garnered recognition for its engagement with sensitive environments and complex urban conditions in sites such as the former Good Shepherd Convent in Sundays Well, the Coca Cola Bottling Plant on Carrigrohane road or the Boston Scientific campus on Model Farm road. The practice collaboration with professionals and consultants led to many recent projects, including the recently completed urban design and landscape framework for the redevelopment of Tivoli Docks for Cork City Council. To the core services of architecture, interior design, urban design and master planning the practice bring the same commitment to design and attention to detail.
The work produced is underpinned by a rigorous approach and close engagement with local authorities, planners, consultants, and most importantly end-users and clients. Both partners have a strong association with the Cork Centre for Architectural Education, a joint venture by University College Cork and Cork Institute of Technology. Paul Butler has taught in CCAE since 2007.
