DASBE (Digital Academy for the Sustainable Built Environment) is offering the construction industry a range of subsidised courses in Energy Efficiency, Circular Economy and Digitalisation. DASBE courses and micro credentials are aimed at construction professionals including: DASBE is launching a Digital Platform to enable learners to undertake a range of programmes ranging from micro-accreditation (including digital badges), Special Purpose Awards (Certificates), and Minor and Major awards focusing on specific topics, needs and requirements in the sector.

The DASBE platform will also be a resource for the construction industry to find other relevant accredited training courses. DASBE is upskilling the construction sector on a range of topics including low energy buildings design to the application of Virtual Reality in building surveying by providing programmes from Level 6 to Level 9 on the NFQ. DASBE connects past, current and future R&D activities with education and training activities to ensure that participants and learners are exposed to leading expertise, knowledge and data with relevant fields.

DASBE partners are involved in numerous projects including Horizon Scanning, VR, Living Labs, and the Digital Platform. I’m delighted that DASBE will create a Digital Platform to enable learners to undertake a range of programmes ranging from micro-accreditation (including digital badges), Special Purpose Awards (Certificates), and Minor and Major awards focusing on specific topics, needs and requirements in the sector. Having industry experts from the UK and Ireland speaking each week really underpins what is happening in the industry and helps students push the boundaries in their organisations.

All successful applicants will qualify for DASBE funding once the applicant is domiciled in the EU. A student’s domicile is the country of permanent address prior to entry to their programme of study. If a student is resident in Ireland for 3 out of the 5 years previous to registering for their current course, then the domicile is considered to be Ireland.
