0 In a frenetic world, our senses bombarded with imagery and choices, we yearn for clarity and simplicity. The essence of our architecture is the resolution of all the competing challenges of brief, site budget, planning and building regulations without these struggles being noticeable in the final result. We aspire to an architecture of composed permanence, not overwrought or forced in any way.

Ours is a free-flowing and relaxed aesthetic, a restful place to withdraw from the fast pace of life. Our work explores themes we consider of paramount importance: rational and precise space planning, the texture and simple beauty of natural materials, and the transformative effect of internal daylight. Ultimately, architecture is not truly found in drawings, models, computer simulations or websites such as this, however seductive we may endeavour to make them.

Nor can it be fully explained in theories and the spoken or written word. Architecture is above all a practical art and is a physical thing you can touch, move through and shelter within. Great buildings reflect this reality and are the stronger for it, durable, joyful and uplifting.

David Money Architects is a small team of experienced architects working closely together. While based in London, together we have trained and practiced across three continents, from Buenos Aires to Milan, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. David founded the practice in 2002, after working at associate level at both Rivington Street Studio (1992-1997) and Hawkins Brown (1997-2002).
