Over the years the directors have collaborated with many talented architects who have made significant contributions to the projects and the life of the office. Work to date has ranged in scale from furniture design to houses for private clients to schools to housing to designs for the transformation of neighbourhoods. The practice works with equal enthusiasm on new buildings, conservation projects and landscapes.

The constant through all the work is an abiding interest in quality, careful use of materials and the making of places that are enjoyable to inhabit, will weather beautifully and will endure with minimum impact on our environment. The work process is underpinned by multilayered analysis of site at the outset and by careful integration of the input of clients, specialists, contractors, artisans and others involved in the design and construction process. The practice has developed a reputation for accomplished innovative and sustainable design and has been recognized through numerous national and international awards and nominations for its projects.

The work has been published and exhibited in Ireland, Europe and the USA. The practice was awarded the Downes Medal from the Architectural Association of Ireland in 2016 for its Model School Inchicore, a new-build and conservation project. In 2012 it was nominated for the BSI Swiss Architectural Award for its sustainable approach to architecture.
