EMA Structures is a London-based structural engineering consultancy founded in 2020. We bring together qualified structural and civil engineers with a project management team and a specialist construction arm, so clients get clear engineering advice and practical, buildable solutions, from first inspection through to completed works. Established in 2020, EMA Structures advises homeowners, buyers, landlords, businesses, architects and contractors across London, combining consultancy-level engineering with practical site and repair experience.

We were formed to close a common gap in the industry: the distance between a report that identifies a structural problem and the works that actually resolve it. EMA brings together structural and civil engineers with a project management team and a specialist construction arm, so we can take a project from inspection and diagnosis through to design, repair strategy and, where required, defined structural works on site under engineering oversight. EMA Structures is a structural engineering consultancy providing inspections, defect diagnosis, investigations, monitoring and structural design.

Where required, our specialist construction arm can also deliver defined structural repairs, underpinning, groundworks and basement structural works under engineering oversight. We are not a general building contractor. Our work spans structural calculations and Building Regulations support, structural surveys and defect diagnosis, subsidence and movement assessment, engineering-led repairs, underpinning, groundworks and construction support.

Qualifications across our team include BEng (Hons), MSc and Graduate Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (GMICE). Chartered engineer review (CEng MICE, registered with the Institution of Civil Engineers) is available where a project or report requires it.
