The Managing Director, Dr Jim Cromie founded Equilibrant Ltd in 2009. Jim is a Fellow of both the Institution of Structural Engineers & the Institution of Civil Engineers and is on the IStructE’s expert witness register. Jim is highly experienced in structural design, subsidence project management for the insurance industry and has a PhD in the electrochemical treatment of reinforced concrete structures.

Equilibrant’s Technical Director, Robert Devenney, is a highly experienced chartered engineer who is also a fully qualified commercial diver. Robert specialises in infrastructure condition appraisal and asset management, civil structural design & assessment, and NEC procurement/contract management. Since joining in 2013, he has worked closely with the Managing Director to develop Equilibrant Ltd.
