George founded the practice in 2014 after many years working across Glasgow and the West of Scotland.

With decades of experience across a range of sectors including residential, education and community projects, he combines practice management with an active role as Lead Architect within the office. George is dedicated to achieving the highest quality design outcomes for our clients and will always go the extra mile to deliver projects that exceed client expectations. He plays an active role in the local community and is passionate about making good design accessible to all. 

Ryan Turner is a Chartered Architect with over 12 years’ experience delivering residential and mixed-use developments across a wide range of scales and complexities. He combines a strong design-led approach with technical and commercial understanding, supporting the successful delivery of projects from early concept through to completion. As an Associate at George Buchanan Architects, Ryan leads a dedicated project team across residential developments, coordinating multidisciplinary consultants and managing design, programme, and technical information to deliver robust and commercially viable solutions.
