With nearly four decades of delivering environmental regeneration projects across Scotland, we provide bespoke solutions to turn policy into action on climate change, biodiversity loss and environmental inequality. As one of Scotland’s leading environmental regeneration charities, we have been working to improve Scotland’s environment since 1985. Our vision is of a Scotland where people, nature and the environment thrive side by side.

Originally formed as the Central Scotland Countryside Trust, our initial focus was on expanding central Scotland’s woodlands. We now have a lead role in driving forward the Central Scotland Green Network , and provide expertise in climate change mitigation, biodiversity and enabling access to quality greenspace for clients and partners across the country. We are a registered SCIO with a charitable purpose to improve Scotland’s environments for people and for nature, using our expertise and strong partnerships to deliver local solutions to global issues.

We aim to combat environmental inequality by focusing our efforts where they are needed most. We work with a range of private, public and non-profit clients and partners across Scotland. Our customers often have ambitious environmental goals but need additional capacity to deliver them – that’s where we come in.

Some of our local authority customers commission us to develop and deliver greenspace and woodland strategies, or long-term landscape masterplans. Others simply require a one-off greenspace project to be managed to completion, or a piece of consultancy to get a project off the ground. The 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals form the basis of a global partnership for sustainable development.
