A building should be timeless, of the highest quality materials, and impart minimal impact on its environment. But also, a building is a legacy for our clients, for its’ occupants, and for the locality: in designing a building or interior, we are keenly aware of our responsibilities to respect these individuals and communities. Understanding our clients’ aspirations and requirements is the vital first step to create a successful building: we enjoy working closely with our clients, and collaborating with design teams, to realise solutions that exceed expectations.

Throughout the design process, the building is explored and refined through hand sketches, 3D modelling and discussion. This ensures a clear understanding of a project’s brief, and that appropriate quality runs through all phases of design development and implementation. We have been, and continue to be, responsible for the design and delivery of numerous significant developments, primarily in the hotel, residential and office sectors, as well as demonstrating a substantial body of work in the fields of fit-out/interior design, data centres, urban renewal, retail, sport & leisure, industrial, education, and product design.

Numerous projects have been honoured with major RIAI and RIBA awards. Our residential and commercial developments have consistently been commercially successful. Thus, we are proud to have maintained many clients for over 30 years.

Our foundations are rooted in delivery of Architectural excellence: we also provide expertise in the following services: Horan Rainsford Architects was founded in 2008 by Tony Horan and Brian Rainsford. Coman de Burca joined the practice in 2010, and Justin Power in 2014: both are now also directors and key members of the practice.
