Through prototype modelling, simulation and testing, Timoney designs drivelines and validates vehicle performance per specified application and duty cycle before physical prototypes are built. Timoney develops complete scalable and modular drivetrains with proven Timoney Tough axle technology ensuring a common architecture across vehicle fleets.

With Kessler &Co’s global aftermarket leadership, OEMs have the advantage of strategically located facilities across North America, Europe and Asia. Timoney drivelines underpin the proven Terrex family of 8x8 vehicles 2 of the 4 contenders for USMC ACV 1.1 were developed around Timoney drivelines.

The STELS submission, in partnership with SAIC, was a further development of the Terrex family of vehicles. This vehicle progressed to the EMD phase. Timoney developed and integrated the axles, transfer case and steering system for this 8x8 vehicle.

An example of Timoney's rapid prototype development, we designed and assembled two rolling chassis, both delivered on schedule within a very tight time-frame. With Timoney focusing on the automotive requirements, our client could focus on the other key systems for this competitive tender. Since the early 2000s, Timoney has developed innovative driveline solutions for four programmes with the National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC) in the USA.
