At Kane Ecology, our mission is to provide clients with pragmatic, cost-effective solutions consistent with the highest standards of professional integrity, skill, and diligence. Since establishment, Kane Ecology has provided ecological survey and assessment services to a wide range of public and private sector clients including numerous private planning applicants, architects and planning consultants, several public sector departments, councils and community organisations. We have provided surveys and assessments for a wide range of project sizes, from small (£500) to large (£100s of millions) providing all work according to best practice guidelines and within deadlines.

We were also contracted to conduct the first ever landscape-scale ecological mapping exercise in Northern Ireland, producing fine-scale habitat mapping of Lough Neagh ASSI/SPA/Ramsar. We were also commissioned to develop an extensive Geographic Information System (GIS) to facilitate the management of Lough Neagh for nature conservation. We have provided training to a wide range of clients including small groups of community organisations, large private sector institutions, landscape partnerships and a number of private architectural and planning consultancies.
