OUR STORY A Proud Family Business RJ O’Brien Building Contractors was founded by the late Ray O’Brien in 1969 (trading as, Ray O’Brien Building Contractors). We are a proud family business based in County Cork, now run by Ray’s son, John O’Brien. We are a small-medium sized general building contracting company.

While much of our business is in the Cork and Munster area we operate a nationwide 24/7 service. We specialise in project management and building maintenance in all trades from carpentry, decorating, interior design, roofing, electrics and plumbing to specialty trades as required. Our work is predominantly based on commercial building fit outs, building maintenance and residential renovations and extensions but we have vast experience in other areas ranging from new builds to conservation works.

We have a strong dedicated and loyal team that has been a major contribution to the success of our business over the years. We have the expertise, resources and personnel to undertake projects from small to large scale.
